  • Fundamentals of Evaluation and Management (E/M) coding specific to radiation oncology
  • Specific medical necessity risk areas, such as IMRT, IGRT, SRS and SBRT
  • Coding for services performed and documented in a radiation center, including payer instructions and published requirements for documentation
  • Bundling requirements affecting reimbursement for radiation oncology procedures
  • Sample documentation and recommended workflow for common radiation oncology procedures utilizing electronic medical record functionality

Radiation Oncology Special Procedures & Beyond Part II 

The session will cover all of the following, and more:

  • Complex coding and reimbursement for SRS, SBRT, proton therapy, hyperthermia, radiopharmaceuticals and IORT
  • Review of the distinction between HDR and LDR brachytherapy and the coding and billing for services related to monotherapy or combined therapy
  • Reimbursement and coding differences per technique and practice setting
  • In addition, we will give you valuable insights into industry trends that may affect your organization


This session includes the 2022 Navigator® for Radiation Oncology and the 2022 Navigator® Evaluation and Management Services for Oncology at no additional charge to be used in both Part I and Part II.
